I started working at the hotline: I accepted claims reports by phone and passed on information about them to our Clients. I remember it well, it was 2013. But a year later I found myself in the modeling and risk management area at ERGO Hestia. If someone, like me, has analytical predispositions and education in economics, mathematics or computer science, they can find their place here well.
In our work, we use elements of mathematics, statistics and probability theory, mathematical modeling, analytics and programming. We have the opportunity to work on the first and only full internal model on the Polish insurance market, which we managed to introduce in 2021. Additionally, working in the area of risk management has a real impact on the company's safety and results.
On a daily basis, I can fully draw on my skills, but I also have the opportunity to learn new things and develop in this profession. The specificity of the tasks does not allow you to fall into a routine - this is why I like my job.

At ERGO Hestia, we are constantly improving our insurance offer, creating new solutions, researching market trends and analyzing the needs of our clients. We have a real influence on what ultimately reaches them and whether they are satisfied. The sense of agency gives me a lot of satisfaction.
I have been associated with ERGO Hestia since 2009. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in several different offices, thanks to which I have experience in many areas of our company's activity. Such a broader perspective is very useful. I also cooperate with other teams today, which allows me to see more and improve my qualifications. I am currently responsible for the development of insurance for individual clients.
In my opinion, the greatest advantage of this job is the variety of tasks I carry out. When I add to this an exceptional team of co-workers, it is impossible not to like this job.

My adventure with ERGO Hestia began in 2015. Like many of my colleagues, I moved to the Tri-City to work for our company. Thanks to my mathematical and computer science education, I joined a team of analysts dealing with data analysis and modeling of technical and insurance reserves, which constitute the "insurance policy" of our Company.
I like my job because I am constantly learning and developing my skills. Our team, consisting of the best specialists in statistics, data analysis and insurance, every day seeks to understand the problems and questions concerning millions of insured persons and hundreds of thousands of claims, using advanced tools such as SQL, Python, PowerBI, R and Excel.
We discover the appropriate data, analyze it, visualize it and present conclusions to the management staff and business.
Our estimates have a real and significant contribution to the company's financial result. Working on improving and automating processes and tools makes our activity effective and innovative. However, the most important thing is a good atmosphere in the team, which makes me come to work with a smile.

Claims Settlement Specialist

I had almost ten years of experience in process automation when I joined ERGO Hestia in 2018. I found attractive opportunities for professional development here. I took on the role of Senior RPA Developer and soon became a Team Leader.
We conducted two RPA Bootcamps in the company, during which we taught employees how to use the RPA robot creation tool. A total of sixteen developers gained practical and theoretical knowledge during the Bootcamps.
We also have bot designers on board, who deal with the design and implementation of text and voice bots. We also develop applications in the ServiceNow environment, where, among other things, we manage ITSM processes and create user-friendly service solutions for our customers.
In the applications we work on, we use the latest technological solutions on a daily basis, such as Azure cloud services or elements of artificial intelligence. In the team, we focus on three things: self-development, mutual support and a good atmosphere. Thanks to them, we are well-coordinated and constantly developing.

When I came to ERGO Hestia, the insurance world was something completely new to me. I started working at the hotline, so I got to know it very intensively during training and thanks to the support of more experienced employees.
After just a few months, I joined the agent service team on chat, swapping the handset for a keyboard. There, I encountered a new perspective on insurance service, focused on the process of issuing a policy and supporting intermediaries in after-sales service.
For a year, I gained new knowledge, skills and experience to advance and join the mentoring team. I work there to this day, helping colleagues from our area in their daily work, as well as training new consultants. In five years, I went through this path: from a novice to a mentor.
In my daily work, I value the fact that I can effectively use my skills and strengths. I get satisfaction when I manage to effectively help an employee in a more complicated matter. Or when, after conducting a training course, I see and hear that the participants are satisfied with it.

From a bank to insurance - I made this change in my professional life in 2019, after a dozen or so years of working in another place. My path at ERGO Hestia began with managing infrastructure processes and taking care of the local database environment. Today, I specialize in working with the public cloud. This means that I can use the most modern, dynamically changing IT technologies and thus support business development.
I am constantly learning and expanding my competences, and at the same time I appreciate the unique atmosphere in our department. Cooperation in this team gives me a lot of satisfaction. Working at ERGO Hestia means not only the opportunity for professional development and a sense of fulfillment, but also the awareness of being part of a larger business success. I joined ERGO Hestia right after my studies. I remember it well: 2013 and I – still without much experience, but ready to learn and develop. I started as an analyst in claims settlement. A few years later I took part in the Hestia Academy of Talent Development. I can safely say that this one-year development program became a great injection of competence for me and an impulse to take on new professional topics.
I joined the analytical team in the Individual Insurance Office. As a specialist, I dealt with the development of pricing models in order to implement the company's pricing strategy in the retail portfolio, using advanced data analysis methods.
Currently, I am responsible for the implementation, maintenance and development of pricing algorithms in the pricing engine, as well as for the development of the Data Lake type environment for storing and processing data, built on a cloud platform.
I am glad that I work in a company that invests in its employees and creates conditions for their professional development. I also feel the support of experts on a daily basis, which allows me to face challenges.

We create campaigns that not only increase brand recognition but also educate customers and help them understand the value of the products we offer. Our work requires creativity, analytical thinking and a sense of the market, which is developing dynamically.
I joined ERGO Hestia in 2018 and since then I have had the opportunity to implement numerous marketing projects and co-create the marketing strategy of the ERGO Hestia Group. I have gained a lot of experience and new skills that I use every day. In the Marketing and PR Department, I am responsible for the brand's visibility on the Internet, social media, the website and the implementation of marketing campaigns promoting ERGO Hestia insurance.
With the help of our Department's team, we organize numerous company events, conferences and thematic trips for our business partners. We conduct market research. We are responsible for communication with employees, customers, agents and the media. Every day brings new challenges. This job is interesting because there is always something new and inspiring happening – and that's what I value most about it.

Sometimes it's hard for me to believe, but I've been working at ERGO Hestia for over twenty years. I have a sense of professional stability here, which is important to me in life.
I started in the accounting department by building a new brand for one of the Group's daughter companies. Over time, as I gained experience, I took part in increasingly difficult and demanding processes. Today, I am responsible for, among other things, the correct settlement of VAT.
The daily duties I perform perfectly match my skills and personality traits. They require meticulousness, accuracy and constant acquisition of knowledge. Complicated tax regulations and their constant updates mean that this work is not monotonous. I can boldly say that I have the opportunity to develop and do what interests me.
What is important to me is that I work with people who understand each other, often even being friends. I have learned that we can count on each other. I also know that my work is appreciated.

I take part in many innovative projects related to sales management. We use advanced technologies and tools. However, what makes my work satisfying are the wonderful people I work with.
I joined Hestian relatively recently, in 2021. I use my previous accounting experience in the Sales Department. As a system manager, I help others with budget settlement, operational and accounting. I feel that I have already learned a lot here, but I still approach my work from the position of a student. Thanks to the support of my superiors, I am developing my skills with full confidence.
I believe that by improving ourselves, we make a positive contribution to the entire team. And ours is unique. I have talented and diverse people around me, which inspires us together and makes this work truly developing.

We face many challenges every day – whether in negotiations with clients or in connection with the analysis of complex data. We often face completely surprising situations. Then it is very important to know that we have a well-coordinated team of people willing to help. And that is exactly what we do. The Debt Collection Office employs people from different teams, so together they have a broad, complementary perspective. They understand not only business relations well, but also interpersonal relations.
What I like most about my work at ERGO Hestia is the contact with other employees and the good atmosphere of cooperation on various projects. I value the creative ideas of my colleagues. In order to insure a large industrial plant, factory or a gigantic logistics center, you need to meticulously estimate the risk. This is what I do: my duties include assessing the insurance risk of corporate clients, preparing offers, negotiating terms and concluding an insurance contract.
Before making a decision on accepting insurance risk, we analyze the so-called slips and broker inquiries. It very often happens that we need engineering support - then ERGO Hestia specialists carry out a kind of "site visit", i.e. an audit at the client's place.
I have been associated with the company for over ten years, since 2013, when I started as an Underwriters' Team Assistant at the Corporate Representative Office in Gdańsk. This is my workplace to this day. I value the opportunities for development and promotion there. I gradually went through the next levels: Junior Underwriter, then to Underwriter, and since 2021 I have also been developing as a manager in the position of Underwriters' Team Manager.
In addition to specialist and managerial training, I have the opportunity to look at business broadly and interdisciplinarly by participating in the 18th edition of the Hestia Talent Development Academy. What I like most about working as an underwriter is the freedom of action and independence in making decisions within the powers of attorney that can be obtained thanks to the knowledge and experience gained while working at ERGO Hestia.
