To insure large industrial plants, factories or gigantic logistics centers, you need to carefully estimate the risk. My duties include assessing the insurance risk of corporate clients, preparing offers, negotiating terms and concluding insurance contracts.

Before accepting insurance risk, we analyze slips and broker enquiries. Often, we require engineering support, in which case ERGO Hestia specialists carry out a "site visit", an audit at the client's premises.

I have worked for the company since 2013, when I started as an Underwriters' Team Assistant at the Corporate Representative Office in Gdańsk. This is still my workplace today. I value the opportunities for development and promotion that the company offers. I have gradually progressed through the levels: Junior Underwriter and then Underwriter. Since 2021 I have also been developing my managerial skills in my role as Underwriters' Team Manager.

Alongside specialist and managerial training, participating in the 18th edition of the Hestia Talent Development Academy has given me the opportunity to view business from a broader, more interdisciplinary perspective. The best thing about working as an underwriter is having the freedom to act independently and make decisions within the powers of attorney obtained thanks to the knowledge and experience gained while working at ERGO Hestia.
