I started my career on the hotline: I took claims reports over the phone and passed on information about them to our clients. I remember it well, it was 2013. However, a year later, I found myself working in modeling and risk management at ERGO Hestia. If you have an analytical mindset and a background in economics, mathematics or computer science, you will fit right in.
Our work involves elements of mathematics, statistics, probability calculation, mathematical modeling, analytics and programming. We have the opportunity to work on the first and only full internal model on the Polish insurance market, which we introduced in 2021. Additionally, work in risk management has a real impact on the company's safety and results.
I can fully utilize my skills on a daily basis, but I also have the opportunity to learn new things and develop in this profession. The variety of tasks means it's impossible to fall into a routine – and that is why I do like my job.
